Automatic or self winding watches are an anachronism. Battery powered swiss quartz watches costing less then 50 dollars is just as accurate as a luxury timepiece. Also, there are cell phones and PDAs that tell time. When you are in front of a computer, you can just look at the bottom right of the screen and you see the time. Modern man doesn’t really need a luxury watch.

Luxury watches are precious jewels. Men don’t have rings and designer hand bags. We don’t even wear any gold. All we have are luxury watches. It’s more powerful then a power suit or power tie. Women say that they look at a man’s shoes, but they really don’t. They look at a man’s watch.

I am a big watch guy. For me, watches are my only form or jewelry or accessory. My wife has a chest full of necklaces, bracelets, and earrings, but i have a box fill with just watches. I have all kinds of watches. Some are cheap, but the ones i like are the luxury men’s watches. Watches like Rolex, Cartier, and Breitling.

I set up this blog because i felt that there wasn’t a quality watch guide online. Most of the sites run by major magazines are just trying to advertise their products. The few watch guides i found online sucked. That is why i set up this watch guide.
